10:30 p.m. CST - History made, and then back to football...

I just finished watching John McCain's concession speech, and as I type this, I am anticipating the acceptance speech of our new president-elect, Barack Obama.

This is not meant as a political statement. That's not how I ever want to use this forum. But I would request that you take the time to do what I did, just as the final tally put Obama over the top. I stopped for just a moment to pause and pray.  Pray for ALL of our elected leaders, our communities, and obviously our nation as a whole.

While you're at it...

Pray we keep our guys healthy this week in Tuscaloosa. We're going to need them.

However, I do feel better than I did just a few hours ago. I started looking over LSU's game notes, and started getting REALLY concerned. I saw all of these national rankings in different statistical categories, followed by the incredible numbers the Tigers were putting up.

Then I realized those were the game notes from the 2007 game.

Suddenly, I felt much better.

Don't get me wrong. This is still a very dangerous Tiger team. But, as I took the spotting chart from the 2007 game, and started making changes for this weekend's matchup, it sure was nice to delete the names of so many all-conference and all-American selections.

I will share much more in the days ahead.
