Chris with Mark Gottfried and Peter Kim

3:15 a.m. CST - Aloha!

Since my last post, Alabama basketball picked up its first win and I've travelled roughly 4,300 miles.

So how did you spend your Thursday?

A brief recap before I call it a day/night/morning (whatever):

Bama basketball looked much better in Game Two, drilliing FAMU. I got to sleep about 1 a.m. Woke up at 4:30 a.m. Took off from Birmingham Airport at 7:45 a.m. Had a four hour layover in Atlanta.

Flew four hours to Los Angeles. Had about a 45 minute layover. Back in the air for 4.5 hours to Maui. The usual trip to baggage claim. Team was greeted by Maui Invitational officials, as well as former Alabama place kicker Peter Kim (pictured above, along with me and Coach Mark Gottfried).

After loading the bags and the buses, the Tide travelling party then had a 45 ride to the tournament hotel - the Westin Maui Resort and Spa.

I don't know really know what day or time it is. I just know I'm exahusted and I'm going to sleep. I'll have pictures and blog entries frequently throughout the trip.
