Always sweet to win on Rocky Top...

What a way to cap a week.

Or in Anthony Brock's case, a week and a half.

The little guy who was buried at the end bench for much of the season, had to bury his grandmother on Saturday. Then he missed his flight, so he had to drive all night long from Little Rock to Knoxville with his cousin.

That's an eight-hour drive straight through. It takes longer when you and your cousin are so exhausted and emotionally drained that you have to stop a few times on the side of the road in order to sleep. Anthony arrived just in time for the pre-game meal. You know what happened after that.

How about the day for his family back in Arkansas?

You know they had heavy hearts to begin with, then there is the concern for the two travelers. After all that they've been through, how special it must have been to see Anthony play so well on national television. And let's not forget, he played a great game long before his last-second heroics resulted in a highlight that has been plastered all over radio and television throughout the day and night.

As best I can recall, it's the most dramatic buzzer-beater resulting in a victory for Alabama since Ron Steele's spinning game-winner two years ago against Georgia. Ironically, that was the last time Kevin Harlan broadcast a Crimson Tide game for CBS until today. I told Kevin he has to get a quick contract done with Raycom and join us in Tampa.

And we also need to get Brock to drive down there from Little Rock...with his cousin at his side, and his grandmother watching over.
